Background: Hypertension is silence killer disease number one in the world and can be effected to strocke , coronary heart desease and the other complication like diabetes melllitus. So hypertension must be treated immediately. The cure of hypertension today used farmaclogic drugs which cause side effects. So it’s need to find new method to solve this problem especially cupping therapy.
Objectives: This study aimed to obtain an information on cupping therapy effect to blood glucose level.
Method: This study used pre experimental study with one group pre test and post test without control group design. Purposive sampling was applied. T-test statistical analysis was used to analize the data.
Result: The average of blood glucose level before cupping therapy, after cupping therapy and cupping blood glucose level are 18,43; 105,23 and 92,90 respectively. Based on the t-test analysis for the effect cupping therapy to blood glucose level between before and after cupping therapy, found that t value was 3,10 (P=0,004) therefore p value less than α (5 %) or 0,05 which mean cupping therapy has an effect to blood glucose level. The effect cupping therapy to blood glucose level between before cupping therapy and blood cupping, found that t value was 2,78 (P=0,007) there for p value less then α (5 %) or 0,05 it’s mean have the diffrent significantly.
Conclusion: Cupping therapy has an effect to blood glucose level for hypertension patient in An-Nahl Clinic of Purwokerto.
